GForce Arms GF1W 12 Gauge Shotgun Review – Affordable Hunting Shotgun

Back in late October I gave away an awesome Waterfowl hunting package to kick off duck season in western Nebraska. As a part of that package one winner received a brand new shotgun. That shotgun was a GForce Arms GF1W 12 gauge with a walnut stock and a tungsten cerakote finish on the barrel and action. It’s a very sharp looking shotgun without the steep price. Let’s take a look at all the different features of this shotgun and why it’s an affordable option for any hunter.

GF1W on a snowy duck hunt.

The GF1W is a semi-auto 12 Gauge shotgun that shoots 2 3/4” shells as well as 3” shells. It has a 28 inch tungsten cerekote barrel. The magazine tube that holds 4 rounds is protected by a classic Walnut Fore-end. The walnut fore-end and stock feature elegant chamfering for a high end look. The shotgun comes with a set of five chokes (Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full) and a choke wrench.

After taking this shotgun on many different hunts I new after the first shot that it would be just the ticket to bag more ducks this season. Adding some swivel studs to the magazine tube cap and the stock allowed for a sling and made carrying through the cattails much easier. Topping the barrel with an extended range choke made the pattern even tighter for longer shots.

One tip is that this shotgun features The Benelli Mobil choke pattern. So look for that style choke if you want to upgrade. In addition adding a buttstock ammo holder gave me extra finishing rounds no matter where I took the shotgun. Never run out of ammo again chasing those cripples with a GroveTec Buttstock Ammo Holder.

The biggest selling feature to me on this shotgun is its affordability. This shotgun comes in at a low price of around $450. A shotgun that looks this good should not be this affordable.

GForce GF1W is a perfect duck hunting shotgun.
